Landscaping: Espacio Homedesign

Our proposal transforms the terrace into an atrium of light and serenity, paying tribute to contemporary Mediterranean style.

The design is structured around a palette of honest materials — terracotta, limestone, and natural wood — which serve as a canvas for carefully selected vegetation, bringing freshness to the space.

GARDENING: PRIVATE HOME

This garden was designed in a Mediterranean style, combining native vegetation with mineral elements to create a harmonious, sustainable and low-maintenance landscape.

One of the main structural elements used in the design is a boulder rockery, which not only adds a rustic and natural character to the surroundings, but also plays a key role in ground stability and water drainage. The rocks, strategically placed, blend perfectly with Mediterranean plants, creating contrasts in texture and volume that enhance the garden's aesthetics.

GARDENING: HOMEDESIGN SPACE

The aim of this landscaping project is to transform the parking area of a furniture showroom warehouse located in an industrial estate in the south of Mallorca into a garden/showroom for its outdoor furniture catalogue. A very unique space due to its small size and its location—a one-of-a-kind project that required careful planning.

The goal was to turn the parking area into a landscaped space where customers could experience first-hand what it feels like to enjoy outdoor furniture in the natural conditions of their own gardens. The challenge was to optimise the space through design in order to expand its use and enhance the overall experience.

A garden, like any other area of a home, should strike a balance between aesthetics and functionality.

In this project, we achieved a modern garden with a functional and harmonious atmosphere, incorporating leisure and relaxation areas, cool spaces for the hotter months, and an overall pleasant look and feel.

The garden of this house had always been a very well-cared-for space, but its full potential had not always been taken advantage of—and never before had so much attention been paid to every detail to achieve such a highly aesthetic result...

Rustic fincas are perfect places to create a classic Mediterranean garden.

The local climate, the style of the house, and the types of plants and flowers chosen will define the garden's main theme.

The outdoor garden design for this finca in Campos is planned to offer elegance and privacy, introducing elements that harmonise with the surroundings and making the most of all the resources the landscape can offer.

SCHOOL GARDEN PROJECT 2022

GARDENING: GREEN VALLEY SCHOOL CLIENT

School gardens are not a new technique—they have been used in Europe since the 1800s. Great educational thinkers such as Froebel, Montessori and Dewey encouraged the use of these spaces as a way to balance education and bring “hands, heart and mind” into everyday school life.

School gardens help education shift from a sedentary experience to one that changes students' perspective of what surrounds them. Our proposal is to use school gardens as living classrooms where learned concepts can be demonstrated. It's time to return to basics—to nature and outdoor activities—to get to know our environment and use our five senses, to help students shift their mindset and create the opportunity to be more receptive when learning.

JOVELLANOS PROJECT 2022

GARDENING: PRIVATE CLIENT

In urbanised areas like the one in this project, gardens are not only often small, but also lack privacy, surrounded by other homes and gardens that block sunlight, and exposed to prying eyes. From the outset, it is a “hostile environment” that must be worked on to enjoy freshness, privacy and a feeling of spaciousness.

It is a proven fact that a 100 m² garden can have as many or more functions than a larger one, without losing aesthetic value.

The priority in this garden was to gain privacy and a sense of spaciousness. Well-planned zoning expands the garden's usability while bringing order and structure. Using a single type of paving visually enlarges the areas, and placing stepping stones over the lawn adds movement and dynamism. The design prioritises creating corners and hidden views that make the space feel larger than it really is.
The gardens of the near future will be smaller, more functional and better zoned.

CALA SANTANYI PROJECT 2021

GARDENING: PRIVATE CLIENT

This project is located in one of the most beautiful corners of Mallorca, Cala Santanyí—a coastal area with stunning views—where the owners asked us to create a garden they could enjoy both day and night.

It was quite a challenge because, despite the striking beauty of the location, it also brings difficulties such as high salinity and wind. For that reason, we studied the survival and future maintenance needs of the vegetation to be installed.

The main advantage of this location is that it is a privileged space to be enjoyed for much of the year — our Mallorcan climate invites us to live a big part of our lives outdoors, even more so with views like these.

We also encountered the formation of paths through the natural coastal vegetation, and above all, the spontaneous coastal landscape stands out.

Together with the professional gardening team at Jardinería Mallorquina Pujol and the wonderful landscape designer Mercedes de Torres, this interesting project has been carried out—and we hope its owners enjoy it very much.
