Endoterapia Vegetal® is a therapeutic method for plant health treatments in urban trees that consists of injecting the plant protection product and/or fertiliser directly into the plant’s vascular system.
Compared to traditional aerial treatments, it stands out because there is no misting or spraying of chemical products into the air, soil or water. It is also completely harmless to people and animals, and can be carried out at any time of day. Endoterapia Vegetal® follows strict protocols for each pest and species, ensuring effectiveness while minimising damage to the plant.
Endotherapy is a treatment that works thanks to the sap flow inside vascular tissues (basically the xylem). Sap flow is determined by two factors: transpiration and the roots’ osmotic exchange capacity. Therefore, when these two variables are working properly, the treatment performs at its maximum.
It is important that this type of treatment is carried out by specialised companies, as it requires strong knowledge of plant physiology as well as an understanding of the biology of pests and diseases.
