How can I know how many DeepDrops® I need?

The number of drippers you need will depend on the crop type and soil type. Our customer support team will be happy to answer all your questions. Contact us.

What types of crops can I use DeepDrop® for?

DeepDrop® is recommended for a wide variety of crops such as vegetable gardens, trees in general, nut crops, shrubs, domestic gardens, nurseries, etc.

However, it is not recommended for the grass family (Poaceae) such as barley, wheat, maize, rice, etc.

How are DeepDrop® drippers installed?

The DeepDrop® subsurface drip irrigation system is installed in 3 simple steps:

  1. Make a hole approximately 30–40 cm deep.
  2. Insert the base support into the hole and cover it with soil.
  3. Connect the DeepDrop® irrigation dripper to the main irrigation line.

Which irrigation systems is it compatible with?

The DeepDrop® drip irrigation system fits standard drip irrigation pipes, namely 16 mm or 20 mm blind tubing.

How do you irrigate with DeepDrop®?

Normally, you water about 50% less than you usually do. In any case, each crop requires specific watering depending on the type of planting, the soil and even the age of the plant. If you wish, we can advise you personally—contact us.

In gardening or agriculture, when water goes to the root system, can roots clog the DeepDrop® device in the tube inserted underground?

In our experience, this does not usually happen. But if it did, from the capsule we would know that something is preventing water from reaching the roots. If it were roots, it would be as simple as moving the tube to another point where the roots do not reach.

DEEPDROP® SYSTEM

Proven performance

Years of experience and studies like this support the efficiency of DeepDrop® System

According to a study carried out using the DeepDrop® subsurface drip irrigation system on a mango plantation, it was estimated that it can save up to 50% of water, improve plant nutrition and applied nutrients, and maintain an optimal level of moisture, nutrients and soil/substrate aeration.

Using this drip irrigation system can generate significant savings on the water bill, improve planting efficiency, and also reduce the appearance of weeds around the crops. In addition, by using our subsurface irrigation drippers, system evaluation is easier thanks to its transparent head.

It is also worth noting that thanks to this subsurface irrigation model, the presence of pests and diseases is reduced by lowering moisture on the stem and leaves of each plant. Therefore, natural resources are optimised by using DeepDrop® drippers.
